Glossary

Field type - indicates the meaning behind this field and how it is used within the table.

Entity Key - indicates that this is an identifier of the entity itself.

Foreign Key - as opposed to Entity Key, Foreign Key indicates that this is an ID from another table.

<aside> ℹ️ For example, an Answer will have a Question ID column in it’s table. If we want to find out more about this question, we need to join the Questions table and check the Question ID there.

Attribute - data that is unique to the object in question

<aside> ℹ️ For example, an Answer will have a Text column in it’s table. It contains the text that the candidate has put in for this answer. It is unqiue to this answer and does not indicate an external relationship.

Table Categories

The tables can belong in one of two different categories - current database tables and historical database tables.

The current database tables category includes data that, right now, is available on your Teamtailor account. Current data includes Candidates, Jobs, Job Applications, Users, and more. Whenever some resources in the ATS gets deleted, it gets deleted from the BI-database within 2 days. These tables are useful for building reports that refer to a resource in the system, such as candidates, jobs, or users.

<aside> 💡 These tables (except companies) have a last_updated_at column. That is used for our system to know how to delete old records that have been deleted in the ATS.
